Bulletin Dec 11, 2022

Welcome to Ridge Pointe!
It is our hope today that you will sense our love and devotion for God, our love of great worship music to God, and our love of the timeless and powerful Word of God. Have a blessed day as you worship with us!

Memory Verse
“Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others to rise. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.” (Luke 2:34).

Life Lessons
In Luke’s account of the Christmas story, only one person–the old man Simeon–seems to grasp the mysterious nature of what God has set in motion. “This child is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, and many others t rise. e has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose Him,” he told Mary, and then he made the prediction that a sword would pierce her own soul (2:34-35). Simeon knew that though on the surface little had changed–Herod still ruled, Roman troops still occupied Israel– underneath, everything had changed. God’s promised redemption had arrived.

Annual Christmas Offering
Throughout the month of December, we are asking all of you to give a special offering (above your regular giving) to help us end the year in good shape financially. This is very important to the continuation of
God’s work. And as we give, we will remember the words of Scripture: “God loves a cheerful giver.”  When we all take part joyfully, God will use us to share the Word faithfully both here and around the world.
Christmas Candlelight Service – December 25th
We will celebrate the day of our Lord’s birth with a special Christmas Candlelight Communion service on December 25th at 11:00 AM. (Please note that there will be no Bible Fellowship that day.) We encourage all
of our families to open gifts on Christmas Eve or early on Christmas morning so everyone can be with us for this very special Christmas celebration!
