Life Lessons
What the Pharisee said about himself was strictly true, but the spirit of the prayer was all wrong. There is no sense of sin nor of need nor of humble dependence on God. The Pharisee came short of congratulating God on the excellence of his servant, but only by an inch! He glances at God but contemplates himself. After his opening word he does not refer to God again, but he himself is never out of the picture. A key principle here is that a person who exalts his or her self will be humbled.

November Church Luncheon
Today is the last day to sign-up for the luncheon next week. We are taking donations to help cover the cost of the meal, that will be prepared by Becky Steller and others. A donation of $5.00 per person with a $20.00 limit per family is suggested but not required.

Ways to Give in 2022
First, you may donate to God’s kingdom work ONLINE by going to the website at ridgepointefellowship.com and
clicking on the menu item at the top right listed as: “Give”. Simply fill out the form provided and the rest is easy. You can
also access this form by texting “Give” to 972-656-0445.
Another way to give is by using the app ZELLE. Simply enter the email: ridge.pointe.church@gmail.com to give.
Finally, as always, if you are attending in person you may give by cash or check DIRECTLY in the offering boxes
located just outside the sanctuary. One is in the back foyer, the other is just outside he entry door of the sanctuary.
