Memory Verse
“I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and
have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me” (Jeremiah 27:5).

Words Of Wisdom
The “sovereignty of God” is the biblical teaching that God possesses all power and is the ruler of all things (Ps. 135:6; Dan.
4:34–35). God rules and works according to His eternal purpose, even through events that seem to contradict or oppose His
rule. Scripture testifies clearly to God’s rule over: (1) His creation (Rom. 8:20–21; Col. 1:15–17); (2) Human history (Prov. 16:9, 33;
Acts 17:26). This is why Jeremiah can say that our great God made everything and that He gives it “to whom it seemed
proper to me” (Jer 27:5). Thus, no ma[er how bleak everything around us looks (e.g., coronavirus), we can rest in the truth that
God is in control and knows exactly what He is doing!
