Memory Verse
“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4).
Commentary
Jesus said it was necessary for Him to do His Father’s work during the day (when He, as the Light of the world, was still shining on earth). In v. 4, Jesus is pointing back to what was said in John 1 where it says that He enlightens every person coming into the world. God used Jesus to help people see the truth of eternal life through faith in His promise. Just as the Father gave Jesus work to do on earth while He was alive and well, He gives work for His children to do as well. When Jesus was alive, it was His responsibility to shine light on the truth. And this is our
responsibility as well!

Annual Christmas Offering
Throughout the month of December, we are asking all of you to give a special offering (above your regular giving) to help us end the year in good shape financially. This is very important to the continuation of God’s work. And as we give, we will remember the words of Scripture: “God loves a cheerful giver.” When we all take part joyfully, God will use us to share the Word faithfully both here and around the world.

There will be a time of fellowship following the Christmas Candlelight Service on Sunday December 21st. Everyone is encouraged and invited to stay and enjoy this time of fellowship and Christmas cheer following the morning worship service.
